Inside

Calm and full of light

The house is an upside down house, with the living space upstairs for the best views of the bay. The decor is calm Farrow and Ball with a New England feel, softened by quirky touches from Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns, Cornish brands like Seakisses and work by local artist Helen Round.

The lounge is bathed in light, with french doors opening onto an oceanside balcony, a good spot for watching swimmers, paddle boards and occasionally dolphins!

The duck egg blue shaker kitchen diner has a new cooker, Smeg and Dualit appliances, views of the historic clocktower and doors out to a sunny deck.

Smart TV and super fast wifi keeping you connected to the real world (optional).

The village

Cornwall's forgotten corner

Kingsand is a very special place, an unspoilt coastal village that sits twin to Cawsand just along the coast. The beaches are safe and perfect for children. The bay, which looks out to Plymouth Sound, is a favourite with yachties and swimmers. There are great pubs serving good food, souvenir and convenience stores dotted all along the higgledy piggledy lanes of sea washed pastel Georgian cottages.

Foot and car ferries run regularly to Plymouth, and the Royal William Yard, Dartmoor and the Eden Project are all within easy reach, though most people prefer to rockpool, swim, surf, walk and chill. It is also an eco haven, with bikes for hire locally, a zero waste shop and EV chargers nearby.

  • Cawsand Beach is 300 m away
  • Foodie pubs within 200 yards
  • Mount Edgcumbe Country Park is steps away
  • Regular foot and car ferries to Plymouth

She lives in Kingsand and moved here from London because she loves it.

Where else can you watch dolphins from your window, share a drink with friends by the beach as the kids paddle and watch the sun go down over Rame Head?

Good to know
